Early College Math Teacher

About the role
The Early College Math Teacher leads the instructional program for high‑school students in the Mott Middle College/Genesee Early College program. This position works closely with the Early College team to deliver rigorous mathematics instruction and support student success.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver math curriculum aligned with state standards for high‑school learners.
- Implement instructional activities and assessments that meet the unique needs of diverse, underserved students.
- Collaborate with the Early College team to make data‑driven instructional decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid Michigan secondary teacher certificate with a math endorsement.
- Compliance with Highly Qualified Teacher requirements under No Child Left Behind.
- Master’s degree in the content area is preferred.
- Three or more years of successful teaching experience with diverse, underserved high‑school students is preferred.
