Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

About the role

We are seeking caring, flexible, and enthusiastic substitute teachers to support our early childhood community on the Jackson Campus. This part‑time role works with children ages 18 months to 5 years in a Reggio Emilia‑inspired, nature‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Step into various classrooms, assisting teachers with daily routines and activities.
• Engage children through play, conversation, creativity, and hands‑on exploration, both indoors and outdoors.
• Build positive relationships, respond to individual needs, and support children’s independence and curiosity.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and the broader school community.

Required profile

• Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with young children.
• Flexible and comfortable adapting to different classrooms and situations.
• Interest in early childhood education, especially Reggio Emilia and nature‑based approaches.
• Willingness to spend time outdoors with children in various weather conditions.
• Ability to pass Wyoming Department of Family Services background checks.
