Early Childhood Sport and Fitness Coach

About the role

Amazing Athletes, a multi-sport enrichment program founded in 2003 and serving over 50,000 children each year, is seeking enthusiastic, reliable and passionate part-time coaches for its early childhood program. The program teaches the fundamentals of sport through play, focusing on sports skills, social skills and character development. Classes are held at schools, parks and recreational centers.

Key responsibilities

• Coach children in early childhood sport and fitness sessions, teaching through play.
• Work with children and their parents, building positive relationships on and off the field.
• Travel to 3-5 locations per weekday, depending on availability and schedule.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of coaching, teaching or working with children.
• Experience with early childhood (ages 1-5) and children with learning or developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Dependable, adaptable and able to connect with children and parents.
• Reliable transportation to reach classes within 45 minutes.
• Comfortable using a mobile device for scheduling and communication.

Availability

• Weekdays: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, with possible weekend work.
• Saturday 9 AM - 5:30 PM or Sunday 9 AM - 3 PM.
• Fall: early September to mid-December; Spring: late March to June.
• Limited hours in winter (January-March) and summer (July-August).
