Early Career Structural Designer

About the role

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering and innovative solutions supporting defense, intelligence, energy and civilian missions, is seeking an Early Career Structural Designer for its Oak Ridge, TN office. The designer takes part in the design process, helping develop BIM models, design drawings and construction documents for steel, concrete and masonry structures.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design process and help develop BIM models, design drawings and construction documents
• Focus on new design challenges while supporting infrastructure that improves communities across the United States
• Follow established quality procedures and ensure work is procedurally compliant

Required profile

• 0-3 years of experience on industrial, commercial and/or nuclear projects
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization; U.S. citizenship is required for this work location
• Resides within a commutable distance of the Oak Ridge, TN office
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where requirements may evolve during projects

Required skills

• Revit for BIM modeling and drawing production
• Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn new software as needed for project success
• Preferred: AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
