Dock Operator

About the role

The Dock Operator works on an on‑call schedule to oversee the safe transfer of materials between vessels and the dock. Acting as the primary liaison between vessel crews and the facility, the operator ensures all transfers meet regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all loading activities and verify product quality.
• Complete daily loader pre‑ and post‑inspection forms in line with company policies.
• Assist tankermen with the safe transfer of liquid materials between vessels and the dock.
• Communicate any unsafe conditions and take corrective action.
• Operate cranes and lifts to move cargo to barges and vessels.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while on site.
• Work an on‑call rotation schedule and perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with current auto insurance.
• TWIC card.
• Motor vehicle record with no more than three minor moving violations and no drug, alcohol, or major violations.
• Willingness to work on‑call rotations.
