Divisional Director

About the role

We are looking for a Divisional Director to lead our New York office of Atelier Ten, an international environmental design consultancy. The role combines business development, project leadership and mentorship to expand our sustainable design practice across the U.S. market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop client relationships and secure project work.
• Act as director‑in‑charge on projects, overseeing technical direction, scope, fees and delivery of high‑performance sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with other directors on office management, staffing, financial planning and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor and develop staff, define training goals and support professional growth.
• Represent Atelier Ten at industry events, publish thought‑leadership content and contribute to the firm’s brand visibility.
• Participate in recruiting, talent retention and building a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in environmental or sustainable design, architecture or related consultancy.
• Strong track record of winning and managing complex projects.
• Excellent client‑facing and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to inspire and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Strategic mindset with commercial acumen.
