Division Chief, Surgical Oncology – Clinical Faculty

About the role

The Division Chief will lead the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, shaping its vision, strategy, and overall performance across clinical, educational, and research missions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan for the division, aligning with the Department of Surgery and UHealth goals.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and accountability for clinical operations, including access optimization, surgical volumes, patient experience, safety, and compliance.
• Oversee faculty productivity, scholarly activities, education programs, and community outreach.
• Collaborate with leaders across UHealth, Jackson Health System, and the VAMC to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care.
• Drive growth initiatives, create new clinical programs, and strengthen existing services.
• Secure and sustain extramural research funding, including NIH RO1s, program projects, center grants, and training awards.

Required skills
