District Manager – Virginia Retail Operations

About the role

Ayr Wellness is seeking a hands‑on District Manager to lead its Virginia retail footprint, covering Winchester, Fredericksburg and Staunton. You will drive sales, ensure compliance, and prepare the district for upcoming adult‑use expansion while fostering a customer‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets, KPIs and operational goals across all stores.
• Manage budgets, control expenses and drive ROI.
• Implement effective scheduling to maintain full coverage and meet pharmacist staffing regulations.
• Ensure consistent execution of retail standards, compliance, and high‑quality customer experiences.
• Coach and develop Store Managers, building a strong internal talent pipeline.
• Partner with Operations, People Ops, Compliance, Marketing and Asset Protection to align priorities and build infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing multiple retail locations, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage change and scale operations.
• Strong coaching and development skills with a focus on building high‑performing teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional partners.
