District Manager - Vehicle Rental

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a District Manager in Phoenix, Arizona. The District Manager leads and develops an assigned district to operational success and financial profitability across operations, marketing, sales, maintenance and risk management, and serves as a key member of the field operations leadership team. The role includes developing and leading corporate location management teams and growing revenue and profit.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and communicate city operating plans that maximize revenue and market share, and monitor performance against them
• Set monthly goals for revenue per unit, revenue, transactions and incremental sales, and forecast budgets and manage key financial drivers
• Direct the fleet distribution and maintenance, repair and reconditioning functions, and evaluate physical inventory to maintain the right mix and age of vehicles
• Work with corporate sales and marketing on sales policy, long-range sales objectives and local marketing plans
• Review capital projects, analyze DOR reports, direct bill payments and personnel record processing
• Build relationships with local business organizations and government agencies, and ensure quality assurance standards are met
• Hire, supervise, train, develop and evaluate staff, applying HR discipline and performance policies consistently

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent education, experience or training
• Three or more years of operations and sales experience, with at least one year at the supervisory level, preferably in vehicle rental or a related industry
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
