About the role
The District Manager for the Ohio Valley will lead sales operations for BASF/Chemetall’s surface‑treatment business across the region. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share and ensuring the delivery of tailored technology solutions to customers in automotive, aerospace, aluminum finishing and metal forming sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet district quotas and increase market share.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of sales representatives, providing regular performance feedback and training.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies.
- Conduct regular field visits to support representatives, observe techniques and engage with key customers.
- Collaborate with Key Industry Sales, Marketing and Regional teams to align efforts with corporate goals.
- Set and monitor sales and profit targets, manage talent development and succession planning.
- Maintain pipeline, manage target accounts and contribute to pricing strategy development.
- Perform business reviews and track competitor activities to maintain competitive awareness.
Required profile
- Proven experience in sales leadership within industrial or surface‑treatment markets.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and managing profitable growth.
- Excellent people‑management skills with a focus on talent development and retention.
- Ability to analyse market data, identify opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
