Business Development Manager

About the role

As a Manager – Business Development you will lead research, analysis, and the creation of new business opportunities. You will develop effective business plans to generate revenue, expand product lines, enter new markets, and enhance customer satisfaction while monitoring growth trends and proposing solutions to strengthen the company’s competitive position.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities to increase profitability.
• Retain and expand existing relationships, product lines, and market segments while soliciting new business from prospective customers and suppliers.
• Oversee research activities to build on company strengths, pinpoint potential markets, and grow market share.
• Establish relationships with potential customers and suppliers, discuss unmet needs, and coordinate meetings with appropriate Wesco representatives.
• Represent Wesco in evaluating and negotiating acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and start‑ups.
• Lead local implementation teams, calculate cost savings, and document value‑add services.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with 6+ years preferred in financial analysis, sales, and negotiation.
• Strong verbal and written communication, business analysis, and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to initiate and develop relationships with key decision‑makers and quickly evaluate new opportunities.
• Willingness to travel 50%–75% of the time.
