Distribution Supervisor (Overnight)

About the role

HD Supply is looking for an overnight supervisor for its distribution centers. The supervisor oversees several departments of the center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing and replenishment, and gives direction and motivation to warehouse associates while keeping safety, productivity and quality high.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the productivity of warehouse associates and balance their workload so production and delivery goals are met.
• Provide training, tools and equipment so tasks are done safely and efficiently.
• Keep all warehousing functions running smoothly and act as the point of contact for escalated issues.
• Identify process improvements and evaluate the center's alignment with efficiency and inventory management.
• Ensure associates keep work areas clean and follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Complete the required paperwork and productivity reports.
• Lead a group or team of support, craft or lower-level professional associates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (BS/BA).
• At least 5 years of experience in a distribution center.
• At least 2 years of experience in a lead or mentorship role.
• Certification may be required; an advanced degree can offset less experience in some fields.
