Distribution Supervisor – Last Mile Operations

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Distribution Supervisor to lead the last‑mile transportation operation within Contract Logistics. You will be responsible for ensuring on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) service, coordinating routes, and driving continuous improvement across the end‑to‑end delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage last‑mile transport operations, meeting SLA and OTIF targets.
• Plan routes, dispatches, and prioritize critical loads.
• Handle operational incidents such as delays, rejections, and returns to maintain service continuity.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse teams to synchronize logistics flow.
• Oversee transport providers, monitor performance, and ensure contractual compliance.
• Control dispatch documentation, route sheets, and proof‑of‑delivery (POD) tracking.
• Lead the use of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and ensure accurate system execution.
• Monitor operational and financial KPIs, proposing improvement actions.
• Manage distribution costs and validate billing processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to deliver high‑quality service.
• Lead and develop the operational and administrative team, fostering safety and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in distribution, transport or logistics.
• At least 2 years of experience leading operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of logistics KPIs and cost control.
• Proficiency with TMS or similar systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills (mandatory).
