Dispatcher

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a dispatcher in Fort Stockton. The role covers customer communication on orders, coordination of deliveries and driver dispatch, and support of the facility's operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inform customers of unit prices, shipping details, anticipated delays and other information needed after the original order is placed.
• Check delivery tickets for changes or mistakes, submit completed BOLs to the appropriate CSR, create millrun BOLs and perform order double checks.
• Perform all duties in line with company safety and environmental policies.
• Act as backup for unloading inbound freight when a driver is unavailable.
• Check inventory control and notify the Facility Manager of orders that would deplete stock.
• Work with sales, shipping, warehouse or carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
• Coordinate deliveries to maximize truck capacity and efficiency, and dispatch drivers with complete instructions.
• Evaluate drivers' performance, monitor their DOT hours and perform weekly truck inspections with drivers.
• Maintain the ELD system, correct errors and retrieve daily reports.
• Assist the Facility Manager, manage the Intelex reporting system and foster open communication within the department and with peers across the company.

Required profile

• GED/HS diploma.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Effective communication with others, better than average written and spoken skills.
• Ability to analyze critically, solve problems and offer solutions.
• Available to be on call after hours, weekends and holidays.
