Dispatcher for Oilfield Truck Operations

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Dispatcher to coordinate drivers and loads across the Bakken oilfield region. The role involves communicating with customers, planning routes, and ensuring timely and accurate freight delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes, informing drivers of any changes.
• Communicate load details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests with customers.
• Prioritize calls and work in compliance with legal and safety requirements.
• Coordinate drivers' schedules, units, trailers, and loads.
• Monitor transportation regulations to ensure driver compliance.
• Track unit status on the ground to prioritize schedules.
• Obtain necessary trucking permits, county and state permits as needed.

Required profile

• Some experience as a dispatcher or in a similar position.
• Tech‑savvy with knowledge of appropriate dispatch methods.
• Proficient in English, both oral and written.
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Active listener with excellent communication skills.
• Sound judgment and critical thinking.

Required skills

• Knowledge of DOT‑related regulations and procedures.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and laws.
• Ability to use dispatch software and related technology tools.
