Director, Visual & Digital Storytelling

About the role

Maesa is seeking a highly creative, hands‑on Director of Visual & Digital Storytelling to lead its in‑house studio team and shape the visual voice across a portfolio of beauty brands. The role blends creative leadership with direct execution, allowing the incumbent to direct teams, operate cameras, and craft compelling visual stories from concept through final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the visual identity and storytelling approach for each brand in the portfolio.
• Partner closely with Art Directors and cross‑functional teams to align on creative vision across all touchpoints.
• Translate brand strategy into digital‑first content for social, web, and paid media.
• Concept, storyboard, shoot, and edit photography and video assets, overseeing end‑to‑end production.
• Lead and mentor a team of photographers, videographers, and video editors while contributing hands‑on to content creation.
• Stay ahead of digital and social ecosystem trends, platform best practices, and AI‑driven tools to enhance efficiency and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading visual content teams in a fast‑paced consumer or beauty brand environment.
• Strong editorial eye with a portfolio that demonstrates storytelling across photography and video.
• Comfortable operating cameras and directing shoots for social, creator‑style assets, and elevated campaigns.
• Deep understanding of digital and social platforms, emerging content trends, and AI‑enabled workflows.
