Director, Project Management (AI)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a senior leader to drive AI‑focused project and program management across its Finance organization. The Director will bring structure, governance, and delivery rigor to a growing portfolio of AI opportunities, helping finance teams accelerate adoption and realize measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project and program management for Finance AI initiatives, including AI literacy, idea intake, quick‑win use cases, pilot execution, and value tracking.
• Establish and maintain program governance structures such as steering committees, decision logs, RAID registers, escalation paths, and executive reporting standards.
• Partner with Finance leadership and executive sponsors to translate strategic priorities into executable roadmaps, delivery plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate cross‑functional dependencies across Finance, GBSC, technology, risk, and governance partners to ensure seamless execution.
• Provide clear, executive‑ready updates that summarize scope, risks, benefits, and progress of AI initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading complex, cross‑functional transformation programs.
• Strong strategic thinking, ability to operate in ambiguity, and skill at simplifying complexity.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.
