Director, Product Management

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that enable the next generation of semiconductor chips and advanced displays. The Director, Product Management will lead product strategy, market analysis, and cross‑functional execution for multiple product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership through senior managers to align the marketing function with strategic goals across broad functional areas.
• Direct development of market requirements, product strategy, technology roadmaps and pricing for multiple product lines.
• Create and execute business plans, assess market penetration and product positioning to drive revenue and market share.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products, enhance existing ones, and communicate critical market needs.
• Support account teams to improve customer satisfaction and strengthen Applied Materials’ technical reputation.
• Manage technology development and transfer, including customized process development and negotiation of specifications.
• Serve as the customer expert, define product strategy, identify gaps and provide feedback for process and hardware improvements.
• Lead product development initiatives, build strategic partnerships, and oversee joint development or beta‑site testing programs.

Required profile

• Broad understanding of systems, theories and practices across multiple functional areas.
• Strong business acumen to drive financial and operational performance and influence senior executives.
• Proven leadership experience managing managers and executing segment or functional business plans.
• Advanced problem‑solving skills to resolve complex business challenges with analytical judgment.

• Competitive salary range of $180,500 – $248,500 per year.
