Director of Services – Hospitality Operations

About the role

Manages housekeeping functions and staff to ensure guest rooms, public spaces and employee areas are clean and well maintained. Oversees Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and, when applicable, Laundry, driving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing departmental financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong communication with Front Office to coordinate room cleaning and check‑outs.
• Inventory and order cleaning supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Ensure all areas are cleaned to operating standards and conduct regular inspections.
• Supervise budgeting, ordering, and cost control for guestroom and cleaning supplies.
• Monitor departmental expenses and cost per occupied room to meet or exceed budget goals.
• Respond to guest problems and complaints, incorporating satisfaction metrics into team meetings.
• Lead, coach and recognize staff, fostering a culture of excellent customer service.
• Administer property policies fairly, manage disciplinary procedures, and support peer review processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years housekeeping experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage departmental costs, lead teams, and uphold service standards.
