Director of Sales

About the role

We are looking for an energetic, community‑oriented Director of Sales to lead the direct sales efforts for the Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown Kansas City Crossroads. In this senior position you will shape the sales strategy, drive revenue growth and deliver exceptional guest experiences while working within a fun, award‑winning hospitality team.

Key responsibilities

• Grow existing accounts and generate new business using tools such as Delphi, TravelClick, ProfitSage and internal BI platforms.
• Act as the hotel and market expert, communicating relevant information to inform sales strategy.
• Provide financial leadership for group and catering revenue, forecast and help create the annual budget, and conduct financial reviews.
• Perform comprehensive competitor analyses, understand comp sets and target business mix.
• Engage with the local community through memberships, charitable activities and networking events to increase brand awareness.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with account decision‑makers, brand liaisons and housing agencies.
• Communicate sales objectives clearly to the entire hotel team and ensure stakeholder participation in strategy decisions.
• Maintain accurate sales reports and track performance against goals.

Required skills
