Director of Quality

About the role

The Director of Quality will shape and execute the quality strategy for CoorsTek’s advanced ceramics business across Medical, Energy, Automotive and Durables markets. Reporting to the VP Operations, you will lead quality managers at six U.S. and one Canadian facilities, driving continuous improvement, customer confidence and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Define and translate corporate objectives into quality goals, roadmaps, policies and execution plans.
• Lead the quality management system to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and industry regulations.
• Standardize processes, metrics and corrective‑action disciplines across sites to reduce variation and improve root‑cause problem solving.
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma and other advanced quality methodologies to prevent defects and lower costs.
• Establish, monitor and report key quality metrics, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
• Oversee investigations of quality issues, customer complaints, non‑conformances and corrective actions.
• Partner with production, engineering and customer teams to align quality priorities with business needs.

Required profile

• Senior leader with proven experience driving quality strategy in a multi‑site manufacturing environment.
• Strong business insight, risk assessment capability and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Track record of building a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
