Director of QA

About the role

Blooming Health is seeking an ambitious Director of QA to lead its quality strategy, automation framework, and release‑readiness processes. This senior engineering leadership position sits at the intersection of quality engineering, test automation, platform reliability, AI‑enabled validation, compliance, and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the overall QA strategy across web applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, data workflows, AI features, and multi‑product platforms.
• Build and scale a QA function that supports multiple engineering pods and product workstreams, establishing quality standards, test strategies, release gates, defect management, and metrics.
• Design and mature an automation‑first framework covering UI, API, integration, regression, performance, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Increase test coverage, reduce manual regression, and improve release confidence through CI/CD‑integrated automated testing, test data and environment management, and quality reporting.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, AI, Security, and Customer Success to embed quality throughout the SDLC and ensure release readiness for major launches.

Required profile

• Extensive experience building scalable QA processes for complex B2B SaaS platforms.
• Proven ability to lead and grow high‑performing QA teams in fast‑moving, regulated environments.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional partners to drive reliable, secure product delivery.
