Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations leads end‑to‑end operational execution, partnering with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing. This senior role ensures on‑time, on‑cost, and on‑quality delivery of products in line with brand strategy and retailer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own and oversee all operational functions, including production, costing, planning, and delivery.
• Partner with Brand, Design, Planning, and Sourcing leadership to support seasonal and long‑range strategies.
• Lead operational milestones in the product creation process, from pre‑cost reviews to execution readiness.
• Collaborate with Sourcing and Production teams to align strategies with brand, retailer, and sustainability goals.
• Manage cost, margin performance, and pricing discipline across programs.
• Serve as integration point across Design, Development, Planning, Production, Quality, and Account Management.
• Oversee Planning and Replenishment to meet demand, flow, and inventory objectives.
• Develop and continuously improve operational processes, standards, and governance.
• Drive data‑driven decision‑making through reporting, KPIs, and operational reviews.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operational team members, fostering a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of progressive experience in operations, production, sourcing, or supply chain leadership within apparel or a related industry.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive alignment across multiple departments.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external partners.
