Director of Customers

About the role

The Director of Customers will lead a team of sales professionals for Bimbo Bakeries USA, the largest baking company in the world. This senior leader works cross‑functionally with Sales, Category Management, Finance, Operations, E‑Commerce, Shopper Marketing and Brand Marketing to act as the overall general manager of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact with assigned customers, driving commercial bakery and center‑store revenue and profit growth.
• Co‑author annual operating plans (AOP) with the Senior Director, defining strategies, tactics, execution steps and expected results.
• Leverage data‑driven insights to shape decisions, develop a “Customer Playbook,” and communicate expectations to field teams.
• Collaborate with each Business Unit to align market‑place priorities and create customer‑specific growth plans.
• Partner with BBU Marketing to launch brand initiatives that grow core brands and customer sub‑commodities.
• Maintain corporate relationships that position BBU as a trusted advisor for all commercial bakery opportunities.
• Empower and hold the Customer Selling Team accountable as “general managers” of their accounts.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales leadership experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods or food manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to build mutually beneficial relationships at all organizational levels.
• Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities across diverse functional teams.
