Director of Brewing Operations

About the role

Kane Brewing Company, an award‑winning craft brewery in New Jersey, is seeking a full‑time Director of Brewing Operations. Reporting directly to the President, you will lead the production team to deliver high‑quality, consistent beers while driving continuous improvement across the brewery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day brewing activities to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Maintain a safe work environment through training, procedures, and safety audits.
• Mentor, train, and develop the production and packaging teams.
• Conduct brewery audits, manage quality control, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Oversee the barrel‑aged program and drive innovation on new products and processes.
• Utilize the ERP system to streamline data collection and production planning.
• Identify bottlenecks, improve operational efficiency, and develop performance metrics.
• Partner with the President and facilities team on equipment selection, installation, and training.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on forecasting, budgeting, and production scheduling.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a senior production manager at a 25,000 bbl+ brewery.
• 5+ years managing and motivating a team of 10+ employees.
• 10+ years overall experience in the brewing industry.
• Degree in Brewing Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Passion for craft beer and deep industry knowledge.
