About the role

Mastercard is seeking a senior leader to shape its Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy framework. The Director will work across the Global Policy team, Government Affairs, Regulatory, Legal and Privacy groups to develop and advocate policy positions that support Mastercard’s AI products and services worldwide.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing development of AI policy positions and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create policy positioning and engagement strategies.
  • Shape and influence AI legislation, regulation and standards bodies in core markets.
  • Partner with Government Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Privacy and other internal teams to ensure alignment on policy perspectives.
  • Report to the SVP of Global Services Policy and represent Mastercard in external policy discussions.

Required profile

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.
  • Extensive experience providing tactical and strategic advice to regulators and senior business leaders.
  • Willingness to work from Mastercard’s New York or London offices.
