Director, Indirect Procurement

About the role

Gucci is seeking a Director of Indirect Procurement for the Americas to lead regional procurement strategy and act as a strategic business partner. The role will oversee a wide range of categories, from store construction and facilities to professional services and travel, ensuring cost‑efficient and high‑quality sourcing aligned with global objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Americas indirect procurement strategy in line with global category goals.
• Partner with business leaders to implement best practices, KPIs and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Identify, prioritize and deliver optimization and value‑creation projects with full accountability for results and compliance.
• Lead end‑to‑end procurement cycles: requirements definition, sourcing, negotiations, contracting and implementation.
• Onboard and manage high‑performing suppliers, establish KPIs, governance frameworks and monitor performance, compliance and risk.
• Collaborate with Finance to enforce budget discipline, track savings and measure total cost of ownership.
• Monitor, consolidate and report procurement performance using quantitative and qualitative indicators for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in indirect procurement, including project leadership, tender management and cost‑savings initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead regional teams and drive strategic procurement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple functions.
