Director, Commercial Finance

About the role

The Director, Commercial Finance leads a stand‑alone finance function that supports the company’s commercial operations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will build processes, tools, and a high‑performing team to drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage a commercial finance organization, including tools, processes, and talent development.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Plant Controllers, and Accounting to enable data‑driven decisions.
• Lead pricing, quoting, and profitability analysis, delivering models, scenario testing, and win/loss insights.
• Develop and maintain analytics, dashboards, and CRM tools such as Power BI and Salesforce.com.
• Create capital‑expenditure business cases, evaluate project returns, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Review commercial contracts, identify financial risks, and draft standard contract clauses.
• Coach, mentor, and grow finance team members, fostering a culture of analytical excellence.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in commercial finance, pricing, and profitability analysis.
• Proven leadership of finance teams in complex, growth‑oriented environments.
• Strong partnership skills with cross‑functional business units.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for executive audiences.
