About the role
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) ensures the health and safety of our residents. DSPs provide support identified in each Individual Support Plan and document the services delivered.
Key responsibilities
- Provide supervision and guidance for residents during skill‑building activities.
- Implement individual support plans for residents.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
- Develop rapport with residents and maintain a safe, supportive environment.
- Update resident case notes on a daily basis.
- Maintain an appropriate staff‑to‑client ratio at all times.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Compassionate attitude toward the care and well‑being of others.
