Direct Origination – Equipment Finance

About the role

Altius Search Group is seeking a direct originator to source and close equipment finance transactions for a client that deploys its own capital. The role focuses on high‑ticket equipment in robotics, defense technology, AI, automation, and advanced manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Personally source and close equipment finance loans and leases ranging from $500,000 to $50 million.
• Build a qualified pipeline through direct borrower and referral relationships.
• Assess customers, equipment, sponsorship, transaction structure, risks, and repayment plans.
• Coordinate with credit, underwriting, and documentation teams to move transactions through funding.
• Develop a sustainable book of business and provide market insight as the company expands.

Required profile

• Proven record of originating and closing equipment finance transactions.
• Experience with non‑investment‑grade or other non‑traditional credits.
• Relationships that can support future direct origination.
• Experience financing essential‑use or mission‑critical equipment.

What we offer

• Base salary $100,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Commission of 1% of gross funded volume.
• Potential to build a team after establishing a significant and sustainable book of business.
