Digital Field Service Engineer (Remote – Orlando, FL)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Digital Field Service Engineer to support its connected medical devices. The role is part of Alcon’s Engineering function and focuses on ensuring equipment at customer sites and demo locations operates reliably. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, perform preventive maintenance, and manage installations and upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and installation of Alcon connected products.
• Coordinate with customer IT and Alcon commercial teams to ensure successful system operations.
• Perform corrective maintenance, retrofits, and upgrades.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and address quality or safety concerns promptly.
• Manage daily schedules, communications with dispatch, managers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Handle administrative tasks, inventory control, and return of unused or failed parts.
• Assist sales, clinical, and in‑house teams, and promote service contract offerings.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English reading, writing and communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field service experience.
• Strong networking, electronic and mechanical background.
• Self‑starter able to travel, work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime and on‑call support.
