Diesel Mechanic – Up to $37.60/hr

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join its New Orleans Service Center. You will perform day‑to‑day maintenance on a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment, ensuring reliable operation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines.
• Service Class 8 trucks, trailers, lift gates, dollies, and forklifts as needed.
• Perform HVAC (air‑conditioning) and electrical system repairs.
• Maintain overhead doors, trailers, and perform welding tasks when required.
• Utilize Cetaris software to manage work orders and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and work safely in a shop environment.
• Own set of mechanic tools.
• Valid Class A CDL preferred.
