About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join its Gainesville, GA service center. This full‑time position works the first shift from 7 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and offers a competitive hourly wage.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Service diesel engines, including Cummins and Detroit models.
- Maintain auxiliary systems such as air conditioning, electrical, lift gates, dollies, and overhead doors.
- Conduct trailer PMs, weld repairs, and forklift maintenance as needed.
- Create and close work orders using the Cetaris system.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Ability to lift 50 lb and work safely in a shop environment.
- Own set of tools.
- Willingness to work the specified shift schedule.
Required skills
- Preventive maintenance and repair of diesel engines.
- Experience with AC and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of Cummins and Detroit engine families.
- Proficiency using Cetaris work‑order software.
- Trailer preventative maintenance and repair.
- Basic welding skills.
