About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Troy, NY service center. The position is full‑time on the 3rd shift (1:00 am‑11:30 am), Monday‑Friday, offering a competitive hourly wage and benefits.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
- Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and conduct welding as required.
Required profile
- 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
- Ability to lift 50 lb and possession of personal tools.
Required skills
- Preventive maintenance on diesel engines.
- Repair of air‑conditioning and electrical systems.
- Experience with Cummins and Detroit engine platforms.
- Proficiency using the Cetaris work‑order system.
- Trailer preventative maintenance and repairs.
- LPMECH certification (preferred).
