3rd Shift Team Lead – Shipping

About the role

Clopay is seeking a Shipping Team Lead for its 3rd shift at the Troy, Ohio manufacturing facility. The leader will ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality product flow from the warehouse to outbound shipping.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety of personnel, product quality, and security.
• Lead, delegate, and motivate shipping staff while keeping docks and storage areas orderly.
• Instruct loaders and equipment operators on safe material handling.
• Verify outgoing product, manage inventory rotation, and handle finished‑goods staging and shipping.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects and implement safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
• Select, train, coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed; monitor performance.
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures.
• Complete related reports to support staging, shipping, and organization goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to read production documents and identify parts and products.

Required skills

• Operation of forklift, electric pallet jack, crane, or similar equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
