Diesel Mechanic – Full‑Time 3rd Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join its China Grove, NC service center on a third‑shift schedule. The role involves maintaining and repairing the company’s Class 8 truck fleet, trailers, and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and both minor and major repairs on diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and ancillary equipment such as lift gates and overhead doors.
• Diagnose and fix electrical and air‑conditioning systems on fleet vehicles.
• Maintain and repair trailers, including dollies, lift gates, and related components.
• Utilize Cetaris software to create and track work orders.
• Lift and handle components up to 50 lb and use personal tools as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with Class 8 trucks.
• Hands‑on experience with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Ability to perform major engine repairs and work on AC/electrical systems.
• Must possess personal tool set and be able to lift 50 lb.

What we offer

• Hourly pay ranging from $31.14 to $37.60
• Full‑time permanent position with a 3rd‑shift schedule (12:00 am – 10:30 am)
