Trailer Mechanic – Full-Time (2nd Shift)

About the role

R+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Trailer Mechanic at its China Grove, NC service center. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining trailers to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic procedures and perform routine maintenance on trailers.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare required documentation for FMCSA and other regulations.
• Test equipment to verify proper performance and compliance.

Required profile

• Ability to lift at least 50 lb and work in varying climate conditions.
• Own personal tools and demonstrate dependability.
• Experience interpreting technical manuals and completing safety inspections.

Required skills

• Trailer safety inspections per FMCSA guidelines.
• Repair and maintenance of trailer systems.
• Use of Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
• Welding and sheet‑metal/composite panel repair.
• Operation of yard tractors and trailers.
