Diesel Mechanic – Full‑time (2nd/3rd shift)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics for its Fort Pierce, FL Service Center. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with 2nd and 3rd shift options. You will maintain a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including Cummins and Detroit models.
• Diagnose and fix major mechanical issues, HVAC (AC) systems, and electrical components.
• Maintain trailers, lift gates, overhead doors, dollies, and perform welding as needed.
• Use Cetaris software to create and close work orders.
• Assist with forklift maintenance when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Class 8 trucks.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and work safely in a shop environment.
• Own set of tools.
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
