Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time, $39.28/hr

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Diesel Mechanic for its Otsego, MN Service Center. You will work on a variety of fleet equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily preventive maintenance on diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, lift gates, dollies, and overhead doors.
• Diagnose and fix air‑conditioning and electrical issues.
• Utilize Cetaris work‑order system to track service tasks.
• Assist with welding and other shop duties as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb and work safely in a shop environment.
• Own set of tools and a Class A CDL.
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks and performing trailer preventive maintenance.
