Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time 2nd Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Diesel Mechanic for its Canton, MA Service Center. The position works the 2nd shift, Monday‑Friday from 2:00 pm to 11:30 pm, offering competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day maintenance on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and occasional forklifts.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs, including engine, AC, electrical, lift gates, dollies, and welding tasks.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, and related equipment as needed.
• Use Cetaris software to manage work orders and documentation.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance and major diesel engine repairs.
• Experience with AC systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb and possession of personal tools.
• Familiarity with LPMECH certification is a plus.
