Diesel Mechanic – 2nd Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Canton, MA Service Center on the 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 11:30 pm). This full‑time position involves maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines, Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
• Maintain ancillary equipment such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as needed.

Required profile

• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Ability to handle major repairs, work with AC and electrical systems, and lift up to 50 lb.
• Must own personal tools and have experience with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs.
