About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join the Women’s Center. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports patient care by performing ultrasound examinations and contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies for obstetric, gynecologic, and other women’s health patients.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety throughout examinations.
- Document findings accurately in the electronic medical record and communicate results to physicians.
- Maintain equipment, perform quality control checks, and adhere to infection‑control protocols.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous‑quality improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Current certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARRT or equivalent).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
