Diagnostic Cardiac Medical Sonographer

About the role

The Diagnostic Cardiac Medical Sonographer provides high‑quality cardiac ultrasound services at UAMS Health Benton/Bryant. This full‑time position supports patient care by acquiring and interpreting diagnostic images of the heart.

Key responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms according to established protocols.
• Acquire, process, and archive high‑resolution cardiac images for physician review.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other clinicians to ensure accurate diagnosis.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Document findings in the electronic health record and communicate results promptly.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a focus on cardiac imaging.
• Current ARDMS or CCI certification in Adult Cardiac Sonography.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
