DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (NYC)

About the role

Solidus Labs is looking for an experienced DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer based in New York to own the reliability, stability, and operational support of its production systems. You will work with a modern cloud‑native stack, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical financial‑market surveillance services.

Key responsibilities

• Own reliability, availability, and performance of production environments.
• Operate and upgrade production Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and manage Helm deployments.
• Scale resources using KEDA, Karpenter, and HPA.
• Manage AWS services including EC2, Lambda, Batch, ElastiCache, RDS, and more.
• Evolve infrastructure as code with Terraform and Helm, applying security best practices.
• Support and troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Design observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK stacks.
• Resolve networking issues (TLS, load balancing, VPC, NAT, VPN).
• Lead end‑to‑end incident response and perform deep‑dive RCA.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and support compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on DevOps/SRE experience.
• Strong production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, and GitLab CI (or similar).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, CI/CD, and networking.
• Experience scripting with Bash and Python.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations.
