About the role
DemandWorks is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This fully remote position within the United States focuses on automation, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
- Manage and support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and maintain containerized environments using Docker.
- Monitor production systems, application performance, uptime, logging, and reliability.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Collaborate with developers to improve deployment processes, scalability, and reliability.
- Manage Git‑based source control workflows and deployment strategies.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, support incident response, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment environments.
- Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure and operational procedures.
- Support system upgrades, patch management, backups, and disaster‑recovery initiatives.
- Assist with cloud resource optimization and cost management.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or related field (preferred).
- 2‑3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Support.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience building and managing Docker‑based container environments.
- Proficiency managing infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong Linux administration skills and scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, SSL, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication abilities.
