DevOps Engineer

About the role

WalkMe, now part of SAP, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its Cloud Engineering team. You will help build and operate the runtime engine that powers digital adoption for millions of users, supporting the company’s Federal business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth software releases.
• Implement and maintain observability solutions for system performance and reliability.
• Support local development environments and optimize developer workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with project requirements.
• Assist with security audits and proactive infrastructure hardening.
• Create and maintain automation scripts and tools to increase operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues to minimize downtime.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance scalability, reliability, and security.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, technology‑focused environment such as a venture‑backed startup or top tech firm.
• U.S. citizenship (required for Federal business support).
• Willingness to work occasional Sundays with compensatory time off.

Required skills

• GitLab for CI/CD pipeline management.
• AWS cloud platform expertise.
• Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
