DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Network Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure that supports our trading, quantitative research and risk teams. The role combines deep AWS expertise with network engineering to ensure high‑availability, low‑latency environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage AWS environments (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudFormation, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway) across production, staging and development.
• Maintain on‑premise network hardware, Active Directory, Microsoft services, firewalls and security controls.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using CloudFormation, Ansible and scripts written in Python or Bash.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, integrating monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and CloudWatch.
• Architect and optimise network topology, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs and firewall policies for high availability and disaster‑recovery.
• Implement security best practices, network segmentation and access controls to meet compliance standards.
• Collaborate with trading, quantitative research and risk teams to ensure infrastructure performance and low latency.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps or network engineering, preferably in trading or latency‑critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and networking fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN, firewalls).
• Proficiency in automation scripting with Python and Bash; preference for automated solutions over manual processes.
• Experience with hybrid on‑premise and cloud architectures and security best practices.
• AWS Professional Certification is highly preferred.
