DevOps Engineer (Azure + On-Premise) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our talent network and work remotely with U.S. clients on project‑based assignments. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and developers to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, scale, and maintain production Kubernetes clusters in Azure and on‑premise environments.
• Design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitLab.
• Manage Azure cloud resources and support co‑located physical infrastructure (OpenStack, QEMU, Hyper‑V).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Ansible and Terraform.
• Administer Linux systems (Ubuntu or Talos), write scripts in Python and Bash, and handle networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancers).
• Oversee database platforms (PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse) and distributed storage (Ceph, NFS, S3).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Zabbix, Prometheus, and the ELK Stack.
• Apply security hardening, integrate SIEM tools (Wazuh) and vulnerability scanners (Snyk, SonarQube) into pipelines.
• Plan disaster recovery and automate backups (e.g., AWS S3 Glacier).

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven track record with Kubernetes, Azure cloud, and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Strong Linux administration background and scripting skills.
• Solid understanding of networking, databases, and storage systems.
• Experience with monitoring, security, and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams, take extreme ownership, and solve complex problems.
