DevOps Engineer – AWS & CI/CD

About the role

We are looking for a proactive DevOps Engineer to design, build and maintain robust AWS cloud environments, automate delivery pipelines and ensure high availability of our services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage scalable, secure AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Develop, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI or AWS CodePipeline.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to enable smooth deployments and troubleshoot production issues.
• Implement containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (ECS/EKS).
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting with CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Enforce security best practices, manage IAM roles, policies and perform security scans.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of incidents and drive continuous improvement.
• Document configurations, procedures and disaster‑recovery designs across regions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience managing AWS environments.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (preferred).

Required skills

• AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS).
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Scripting/programming: Python, Bash, Ruby, PowerShell.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline; version control with Git.
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/EKS.
• Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana.
• Linux/Unix system administration and networking concepts (VPN, DNS, load balancing).
