Deskside Support Specialist

About the role

The Deskside Support Specialist will travel throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area to resolve a wide range of computer and user‑management issues on‑site. You will also support the help desk remotely, assist with new computer deployments, and ensure client satisfaction across Windows, Mac, and third‑party applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
• Handle password resets, Active Directory group changes, and new user onboarding.
• Image, configure, and deploy new workstations for specific users.
• Document incidents, track time, and keep users informed of status and resolution.
• Collaborate with higher‑level support teams and maintain knowledge‑base articles.

Required skills

• Proficient with Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, Azure AD and Okta MFA.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities using remote support tools.
• Knowledge of imaging/deployment processes and common business applications (QuickBooks, Dropbox, POS systems).
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, security).
